William's Story

As we hoped for another little blessing, life answered with a resounding "yes!”

Our journey, as many of you know, has been one of hope, resilience, and the wonders of nature. Our little man Henry, with his infectious giggles and endless energy, is growing up so fast. At two, he is LOVING the the idea of a new sibling. He often, excitedly places his tiny hands on mumma's tummy and exclaims, "Baby Brother!" ...followed by multiple, successive "AWWWs" (in a high voice), a few loving pats, and totally cute chuckle! He is going to be an amazing big brother!

We've had our share of heartaches, and the memory of our sweet Lily Marie will always be with us. She's a part of our story, a gentle reminder of how precious life is. Now we eagerly await our rainbow baby and we're filled with hope and a touch of nervous excitement. We successfully leaned on Vitex once more, an old herbal friend that's been with us since Henry's journey. It's amazing how nature has its own way of guiding us and we're always eager to share that story on Henry's site!

And just like Henry and Lily, we found out the gender of this little one at 8 weeks via a blood testing kit we found online, which was later confirmed in his 18 week anatomy scan. He's a boy! 100% sure! ...and in keeping with our desire for strong, traditional names, we have chosen William Lewis Richter! The name William because we both like it, and Lewis to honor Erik's late grandpa.

Every day brings new lessons, new joys, and new challenges. We're so grateful for the love and support from all of you. It's been a rollercoaster, but knowing we're not alone makes all the difference. As we get ready to welcome this new bundle of joy, we're soaking up every moment with Henry and looking forward to the adventures ahead. Thanks for being there with us, cheering us on, and sharing in our story. We cannot wait to introduce this little one with you in April!

-Love, Laura and Erik
